Baking makes me focus and stay creatively engaged. From weighing the sugar to melting the butter and sieving the flour - I find it calming and rewarding because, it is sort of magic - you start off with all this disparate stuff, such as butter and sugar and flour, and what you end up with is something unimaginably creative and so amazing and delicious!
